In Stratford, three-phase power is mostly about the area’s commercial growth — retail and leisure units, fit-outs, and food businesses — plus the occasional high-demand home. GFL Electrical design and install three-phase supplies and upgrades across E15 and E20.
What three-phase is, and when you need it
Three-phase (around 400V) supplies far more power than single-phase, needed for:
- Retail and leisure fit-outs with significant equipment and HVAC
- Commercial kitchens and hospitality
- High-demand homes combining heat pump + 22kW EV + battery
Stratford’s three-phase demand
- Retail and leisure units around Westfield and the town centre — fit-outs needing serious capacity.
- Food and hospitality businesses with commercial kitchens.
- High-demand homes — occasionally in the larger or deeply-retrofitted properties; for the heat pump side see our heat pump electrical guidance.
Commercial three-phase often pairs with planned maintenance — see our commercial maintenance service.
The upgrade process
We assess the load, apply to the DNO for the supply where needed, and install the three-phase board and circuits to BS 7671 — coordinating with landlords/management and the DNO for commercial units.
See our main three-phase installation service.
Common questions about three-phase in Stratford
My retail fit-out needs more power — three-phase? Often — significant HVAC and equipment usually need it; we assess the load and supply.
Do you handle commercial kitchens near Westfield? Yes — three-phase supplies and circuits for catering equipment.
Can a home need three-phase? Only for stacked heavy loads (heat pump + 22kW EV + battery); most homes are fine on single-phase.
